I invited Robin & Jackie Rose over for dinner Monday night, and they beat me there, so I actually got to come home to people! It was so much fun after a long afternoon of teaching to pull up in my driveway and see my puppies and Jackie Rose waiting right inside the door for me. I forget how quiet my house can get with Ryan away. We had a great time eating chicken enchiladas and of course indulging in our traditional brownie sundaes. YUM! My dogs seemed to manage to make it into every picture...even when they weren't invited. In the first picture, Jackie is on her hands and knees posing like Jack & Harley...she's going through a "puppy phase"!

I cannot believe how big Jackie Rose has gotten! I feel like she should still be in a baby carrier like when I met her. She's PRECIOUS! Anyway, I'm glad that you had friends at your house when you got home! I need to not take that for granted! :) I love you!!!!... And stop telling me how many days until NY! :)
ahh so much fun!!! Yeah, I am with Britt ~ wish I was going but I will be in OKLAHOMA....where the wind....I don't know the rest! Sounds like y'all had fun!!! AFter this NY trip is over we need to plan our trip! Love you!
hhahaha, yea sarah, stop mentioning NYC in your blog! one week from tomorrow! HOLY CRAP! Oh, but so many hoops to crawl through before then. I had to babysit a yorkie dog last night. i almost killed her. no, i'm not lying. she was very confused as to why some weird lady was picking her up from the groomer and not her dad. i had to take her everywhere i went last night. i felt like paris hilton becuase i was wearing my pearls.
Um...maybe I'm losing my mind, but I reread my blog 3 times and couldn't find any mention of NY. Besides Brittney, you and Matt are going where Ryan & I went for our honeymoon, so now I'm jealous of YOU!
Jackie and I had a great time!!! Your cookin' was awesome of course. And you know you can never go wrong w/ me when it comes to brownies and ice cream! I seem to be getting the moving blues. The moment you move to your first duty station you dream of finally getting back to your home town. You don't think about all the friends you will make along the way, or the great experience you end up having. I cant believe I am saying this, but I will miss Jacksonville. I will miss Jr's dance class buddies, how family oriented Camp L . is , and being in a town were people understand not having a husband for 7 months to a year! Most of all I am going to miss you guys,, yes ya'll.... the Thorntons. Your friendship means to much to my family! I am thankful to God ever day for allowing our paths to cross. As my time nears to an end here in NC.... my heart saddens to think you wont be right next door. My phone bills will be sick!!!! Don't forget our yearly trips to see each other too!!! Lord knows I am going to be fat and pregnant when we fly to Texas to see you guys, so make sure you have good AC!!!! TEE HEE HEE
I too am so proud of Brad. Time sure has flown on by! You will have to tell me all about his trip when he gets back!
